Perhaps you may not realize all the support the Boosters provide to Athens. Here is a list of some of the ways we are able to get behind our student-athletes. These are all items that the school and district do not provide.

1. Marquee sign in front of school on John R.
2. Medical Cart for Trainer and the maintenance & repair
3. Video camera and projection equipment used by teams to film games & practices and view film - over $17,000 plus up-keep & maintenance.
4. Equipment for weight room - over $10,000 in the last 4 years
5. Annual purchase of blank video tapes for coaches to record games and practices
6. Concession stand service for outdoor events on main fields (football, soccer, lacrosse) and indoor tournaments. Purchase and maintain equipment (popcorn machine, hot chocolate, coffee and soft drink machines, refrigerators, grill, etc.)
7. Sponsor Athens Relays and Invitationals for many sports throughout the year, providing special trophies, medals and ribbons
8. Batting cage and safety fence-top and fence cover for baseball field
9. Refrigerator for training room (tape, ice, etc.)
10. Scholar Athlete T-shirts for scholar athletes
11. Meeting table for coaches to use in the locker room
12. Wall of Fame, honoring Athens All-State Athletes
13. Trophy cases remodeling
14. Scholarships awarded to senior athletes for college expenses

15. Underclass enrichment grants, for summer camps and/or training (up to $150 each)

17. Financial assistance for specialized, off-site gymnastics training for Gymnastic team and cheerleaders

20. Entry fees for spring softball team tournament in Florida, and All-Star entry fees
21. State Champ letters for jackets of Athens state championship team members
22. Ads in Athens Yearbook, Blackhawk Hockey program and All-Star Football program
23. Monetary donations to Senior Picnic and All Night Party
24. Banners for a number of teams, and many other individual team/coach requests
